About Cardiff Huskies Para Ice Hockey Club
The Cardiff Huskies were originally started by Andy McNulty, David "Jamo" James and Ken Ridell in May 1996, who went on to establish the club as one of the premier sledge hockey teams in the UK. The Huskies competed in the BSHA sledge hockey league in its first phase of existence winning the league in 2003. Guided by Jo Coates-McGrath, the club had one of the largest and strongest teams competing in the UK with over 18 players on their roster. Welcoming male and female of all ages, the club are proud to boast that they have helped develop 9 Great Britain international players, with more potential players in the pipeline. The current squad has 5 international players in the GB setup all hoping to qualify for the next winter Paralympics.
